Las Vegas Food trip: Jollibee, Shake Shack, Max’s Restaurant

Once a year, we like to go on a Las Vegas food trip. It’s a 5-hour drive so we made plan to hit our favorite spots. This year, we decided to check out two of our favorite Filipino joints and a classic NYC burger chain: Jollibee, Max’s restaurant, and Shake Shack.

Jollibee

Here’s a little background for those who are not familiar with Jollibee:

  1. It’s dubbed as the McDonald’s of the Philippines.
  2. They offer standard fast food options like burgers and fries.
  3. Known for their Chicken Joy, or fried chicken.
  4. They also sell spaghetti. Filipino spaghetti is sweet so it might come as a shock to your taste buds if you’ve never had it before.

They have two branches in Las Vegas. The one in Maryland Parkway is right next to Seafood City, an Asian supermarket. It’s also right next to Red Ribbon and Chowking.

  1. It’s a full-service restaurant.
  2. They’re famous for their spring (fried) chicken.
  3. They offer a variety of Filipino dishes like lumpia, crispy pata, lechon kawali, sisig, bulalo, kare-kare, etc.

It’s great place to bring you introduce your friends to Filipino cuisine.

Shake Shack originally opened in New York City.  We decided to check when we heard they have opened a branch in Las Vegas. A cheeseburger is always a good choice here. Make sure to get some milkshake too!

If you’re Filipino (or not) and you’re planning a Las Vegas food trip, these places are worthy of  a visit!
